I’ve recently become fascinated with Holgas and last month I borrowed one from a co-worker (who has multiple Holgas). The particular Holga I was shooting with is a medium-format camera. If you’ve never heard of a Holga, it’s basically a toy camera made overseas and valued for its low-fidelity aesthetic. You can read more about them here.
After fooling around with it for a couple of weeks (and shooting random pictures around my home and around town) I’ve finally gotten the film processed and returned to me! I had the images scanned and I’ve posted some of them over on my website. Not too bad for never having used zone-focusing before (and mostly shooting from the hip)! Check them out here.
It looks like I might be “investing” in one of these for myself (especially since they’re so inexpensive) so be sure to check back for more!
